Argyll Scout Group Needs You!

The 19th Argyll Scout Group in Lochgilphead brought this year’s activities to a close with an end-of-term BBQ at Ropework Park celebrating their achievements with well-earned awards being presented from Squirrels, aged 4, through to Explorer Scouts, aged 17.

"Our group continues to grow, helping local children and young people develop confidence, friendships and valuable skills for life. After the summer break, we are looking forward to another exciting year of Scouting — but we need your help.

"We are appealing for local volunteers to support us in continuing to provide fun, adventure and life-changing opportunities for young people in our community.

"We welcome adults of all ages and backgrounds. Whether you can help regularly at weekly meetings, support occasional activities, or assist behind the scenes with administration or fundraising, there is a role to suit everyone. No previous Scouting experience is needed, and full training and support will be provided.

"Volunteering with Scouts is a rewarding way to give something back, learn new skills, meet new people and help young people reach their full potential," said group lead volunteer Ben Rusden.
