What's new for the 79th Glenfinnan Gathering and Games?

The Children’s Tent, sponsored by the Royal Celtic Society, is also new for 2026. Aileen McFarlane leads a Glenfinnan Crafting team who have been amassing a vast supply of things to stick, colour and assemble.

The tent is free to enter but donations would be appreciated to help cover the armfuls of goodies your children will be taking home.

The Lochaber Pipe Band will be joined by other local bands this year. The March should be spectacular!

There are a good range of stallholders including newcomers Back to Bars Soap, Chantelle Lee’s Jewellery, Majentek and Làmhan.

The food court will be populated by Glen Spean Brewing, Woody’s Wagon, Mulligan’s Ices, The Grill Father, The GCC’s Tea Tent and MOWI’s Salmon Wagon.

Simon Abberley of Nevis Radio is setting up the PA system so organisers are very hopeful everyone will be able to hear what Master of Ceremonies Neil McLeod has to say for himself.

The National Trust’s Fighting Highlanders also make a return this year.

The event takes place on Saturday August 15 (11am - 4.30pm). Parking for the Gathering is generally provided nearby on a first-come, first-served basis. Designated event parking is typically free or managed by local stewards, distinct from the paid year-round Glenfinnan Monument Visitor Centre car park.

Arrive early and follow the instructions of the on-site parking stewards from Lochaber RFC.
