Arran Open Studios (AOS) will be hosting a taster exhibition of the artwork and artists that will be participating in the Arran Open Studios event next month.
The taster exhibition will take place this weekend, from Friday July 10 to Sunday July 12, at Brodick Hall.
In order to provide visitors with a flavour of the work, the materials used and the diversity of work, that constitute the larger AOS weekend, organisers of the preview exhibition have tried to include at least one piece from all contributing makers and artists.
Visitors at this weekend’s taster exhibition will have the opportunity to meet some of the participating artists, and they will be able to formulate a plan or itinerary of the studios they wish to visit during the AOS weekend that takes place on August 14 to 17.
This year’s AOS event will include 44 venues where local artists and makers will welcome visitors into their private studios and workshops to learn about their art and the processes and decision-making behind the work.
AOS leaflets, providing details about the artists and their studios, are available in hostelries, tearooms, hotels, restaurants and shops across the island. Further information can also be found at arranopenstudios.org
