Vandalism in Inveraray
Between 1830 hours on Thursday 2nd July and 0630 hours on Friday 3rd July the windows of a digger at Inveraray Golf Course have been spray painted. Police are appealing for witnesses. Failed Drug Wipe
On the morning of Friday 3rd July a 39 year old male driver has failed the roadside drug wipe for cocaine when he has been stopped on Front Street, Inveraray. The male was arrested and conveyed to Lochgilphead Police Station where blood samples were taken for toxicological analysis. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal once results are analysed.
Driving collisions in Mid Argyll
Following the report of a road traffic collision at an address in Lochgilphead in the early hours of Saturday 4th July, a 36 year old male has been arrested and charged with failing to stop after an accident, failing to provide details of driver, failing to provide a specimen of breath, threatening and abusive behaviour and assaulting an officer in the execution of their duty. The male was released on Undertaking to appear at Dunoon Sheriff Court at a later date.
Following a road traffic collision on the A83 on the evening of Tuesday 30 th June a 53 year old female driver has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal for causing serious injury by Dangerous Driving. A 36 year old male driver has been reported for driving whilst disqualified and driving without valid insurance.
Drug warning in Kennacraig
At Kennacraig Ferry Terminal on the afternoon of Saturday 4th July a 30 year old male was issued with a Recorded Police Warning for possession of Cannabis.
