The new bowling season got under way at the weekend as members of Blackwaterfoot Bowling Club held their season-opening tournament.
A total of 12 members took part in the points-based, round-robin event where the person accumulating the most points landed the trophy.
The match took place on one of the sunniest days of the year so far, with a gentle breeze helping to keep the players cool.
Midway through the competition, participants enjoyed lunch provided by members.
Club chairman Brian Sherwood delivered the first jack to officially start the season, while John Divine took home the trophy after winning the opening event.
