Work has been carried out on Oban Esplanade after the appearance of a sinkhole.
The hole caused a stir on social media when it opened up earlier this month with claims there was nothing below the hole holding the path up opposite the Alexandra Hotel.
Argyll and Bute Council workers have now filled the void with concrete, making the path safe for users.
A spokesperson for Argyll and Bute Council said: “Our bridge squad completed the rebuild of the masonry wall at the Esplanade.
"We poured the concrete to permanently fill the void under the footway on Thursday, ahead of the footway being reinstated.”
