A gang of teens threatened a pensioner with a metal pole during a frightening incident in Lochgilphead - details below.
At 8 pm on Saturday March 30, at Manse Brae, Lochgilphead Officers on foot patrol had cause to stop two youths and search them under Misuse of Drugs Act Powers. One 17-year-old male was found in possession of 0.2g of cannabis, and the other 16-year-old male in possession of 0.3 g of cannabis. Both teenagers were offered and accepted a recorded police warning.
At 10.20 pm on Saturday March 30, on the B841 at Cairnbaan, Officers on patrol have had cause to stop a vehicle and search it and the occupants under Misuse of Drugs Act Powers. It is alleged that a 19-year-old male was found in possession of Cannabis laced food products. These items have been sent off for testing and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal should they be found to contain a controlled substances.
A group of teenagers containing boys and girls caused a disturbance at 8.15pm on Monday March 18, at Dochas Place, Lochgilphead, before running towards an elderly man whilst one of them brandished a long metal washing pole, causing fright and distress. Police are investigating this matter and are appealing for witnesses.
