Kintyre Angling Club member Reid Anderson has bagged two trophies after landing the biggest catch during recent competitions.
The weather was decent for the Bord-a-Dubh Trophy competition at Lussa Loch on the evening of Wednesday April 17, although the calm conditions made it tricky and it showed, with not many fish landed.
Results: Ruaridh McAulay – 1 rainbow 1lb 4oz; John McCallum – 1 rainbow 1lb 6oz; Graham Paterson – 1 rainbow and 1 brown 1lb 9oz; Reid Anderson – 1 rainbow 2lb 10oz.
Reid was the winner, with a lovely overwintered fish.
It was a windy but sunny day for the club’s Osprey Shield competition on Sunday April 21.
Sunburn wasn’t the only thing awaiting the anglers as fish were landed across the length and breadth of the loch.
