The game was very tight in the early stages with singles, pairs and fours all down at one point but the Argyll teams got into a rhythm and pushed on in every game to take a convincing 8-0 win.
The scores were as follows: Singles (Gavin Mclachlan): 21-11; Pairs (Kenny Kerr and Lee Allen): 25-18; Triples (Stewart Blue, Kenny Kerr Jnr and Alan Sinclair): 16-11; Fours (Paul Grumoli, Shaun Grumoli, Gary Grumoli and Paul Grumoli Jnr): 19-16.

“We would like to thank Dunoon Argyll for their hospitality before and after the game and wish the club all the best for the remainder of the season,” said an Argyll Bowling Club spokesperson. “The game was played in the right spirit from start to finish.”
The Argyll bowlers will now face players from neighbouring Campbeltown Bowling Club this Sunday (September 3), with the venue to be confirmed.
