Just less than four months to go, HebCelt offers music lovers from the Hebrides, Scotland, the UK, Europe, and beyond, the chance to see acclaimed local and international talent in beautiful and unique surroundings.
With last year’s festival breaking attendance records, day tickets have proven popular in previous years and 2024 is expected to be no exception.
Those headed to the HebCelt arena on Thursday will get to experience sensational Main Stage music from acclaimed Irish traditional musician Sharon Shannon and talented Gaelic trio Sian.
Performing on the Lewis Wind Power (LWP) Islands Stage on Thursday will be The Willie Campbell Band, fronted by the esteemed Lewis singer-songwriter, and celebrated dynamic fusion group Mec Lir.
One of Scotland’s most celebrated contemporary bands Skipinnish will bring the first day of the festival to a close in epic style on the Main Stage with their high-energy anthemic Celtic sounds.
Friday revellers will have the chance to catch Main Stage performances from Dumfries-based indie Americana band The Lucky Doves, husband and wife fusion duo Ferris and Sylvester, and esteemed blues singer Elles Bailey.
Over on the LWP Islands Stage, up and coming Glasgow indie-rock duo Low Light Listening Lounge, Manchester indie-folk group The Deep Blue, and local singer-songwriter Scott C. Park will perform throughout the day on Friday. Festival goers will also get to enjoy music from acclaimed Scottish fusion band Gnoss, and Isle of Skye electro-trad party-starting duo Valtos.
This year also sees the return of the Isle of Harris Gin Cèilidh Tent, offering audiences the chance to see outstanding musical talent in an intimate setting with an Isle of Harris Gin and tonic or a refreshing Isle of Harris Gin cocktail in hand. Performing on the Friday of the festival are incredible Lewis musicians Alice Macmillan and Alasdair White and Keith Morrison, as well as talented BSL performer and fiddle player Evie Waddell.
Award-winning Scottish trad group Kinnaris Quintet will make their glittering return to the festival with their uplifting live set on the Main Stage, and legendary alternative rock act James will make their HebCelt debut in the headline slot as they perform in the Hebrides for the very first time, rounding off an unforgettable Friday at HebCelt 2024.
