As crews get ready to head to Tarbert for this year’s Jura Scottish Series, the village is preparing to welcome visitors with a weekend of shoreside entertainment.
This year celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Series, with a new headline sponsor, Jura Single Malt Scotch Whisky.
And onshore, Tarbert Enterprise Company is pulling out all the stops to make sure those on and off the water enjoy a party to remember.
Running from Friday May 24 to Monday May 27, Jura Scottish Series has been a fixture on the Tarbert festival calendar for almost five decades. While all the competition is out on the waters of Loch Fyne, the harbour area is transformed into an entertainment hub for the weekend.
Looking for delicious food from early morning into the evening? Want to hear some live music? Looking for somewhere to take the children for the afternoon where they can enjoy their own entertainment and you can enjoy tea and a cake? Fancy a Saturday night dance with a live band? Even more live music on Sunday? And did someone mention fireworks? It’s an emphatic yes to all these questions.
The full shoreside programme will be released in the coming weeks, but there’s something for everyone. Whether you are four or 94, want to party late into the night or spend an afternoon catching up with friends while listening to music, it will all be there.
