Fort William High Street reverberated to the sound of mass motorcycle engines on Sunday as riders in the Scottish Six Days Trial (SSDT) paraded in waves, marking the start of the annual event.
As always, the street was lined with enthusiastic spectators as the procession drove by, led by Lochaber Schools Pipe Band, stopping briefly in front of the podium in Cameron Square for an official speech of welcome from Councillor Angus MacDonald.
Organised by Edinburgh and District Motor Club, the event began on Monday May 6 and runs to Saturday, May 11, when riders go all over Lochaber, covering different on/off-road routes around the region on each of the six days.
