A 32-year-old woman has been warned she faces prison if she breaches her community payback order.
At an earlier sitting of the town’s sheriff court, Alice Smith of 121 Longrow, Campbeltown, had admitted threatening or abusive behaviour by acting in an aggressive manner by repeatedly shouting and swearing outside an address in the town on August 12 last year.
Sheriff Euan Cameron called for reports to be prepared before sentencing.
Raeesa Ahmed, procurator fiscal depute, told the April sitting of the court the incident happened at 4.20am.
“This disturbed other residents in the close and police were contacted,” said the fiscal.
Smith’s defence agent, Stephen MacSporran, said: “It was down to Miss Smith’s alcohol use at the time, she had very little recollection; she is endeavouring to get her life back on track.”
Sheriff Cameron placed Smith on a community payback order of 18 months, as a direct alternative to custody, during which time she will be supervised and must also complete 160 hours of unpaid work.
The sheriff referred to her “lengthy list of previous convictions” and told Smith: “If you breach this order, given your record, I will almost certainly send you to prison.”
