Isle of Arran Distillers has been awarded a number of gold and silver medals at the prestigious San Francisco World Spirits competition.
Founded in 2000, the contest is the largest competition of its kind and is one of the most influential blind judging events in the world.
Medal-winners ranged from some of the most renowned international distillers to small-batch producers.
Arran whisky competed with 500 bourbons and 260 Scotch whiskies in the competition which received almost 5,500 entries.
This year marked Arran Distillers’ best ever result, with Arran and Lagg single malts taking home top medals.
The Arran single malt was awarded three double gold medals for the first time and the Lagg single malt Kilmory edition won its first gold medal.
Managing director of Arran Distillers Euan Mitchell commented on their award success: “We could not be prouder of these tremendous medal wins for Arran single malt and Lagg single malt. To have received three double gold medals with such high scoring points at the blind tasting is a wonderful achievement for Arran as we approach our 30th anniversary in 2025.
“It is particularly exciting for us as a team to see our heavily peated Lagg single malt’s core range Kilmory Edition win its first gold medal. The quality speaks for itself and promises an exciting future full of surprises and intriguing drams that you are going to want to taste. Arran continues to solidify its reputation as a producer of unbeatable quality single malt.”
