Blythswood Care’s charity shop in Albany Street, Oban will shut for good on April 27.
Ian Matheson, who heads up operations for the Highland-based charity that supports education, community and gospel projects in Europe, Africa and Asia, said: “It is never an easy decision to close one of our shops, especially one like this which has been running for many years. But we are bound to take a commercial view of all our shops and Oban is no longer profitable.
"I’d like to thank shop manager Joanne Wright and all the shop volunteers for their faithful service.
We also thank our loyal customers in Oban for their support over the years.”
Blythswood’s Fort William shop at Glenloy Street, Caol, continues to operate along with 13 others
across the north of Scotland and eight in Northern Ireland.
Last winter, the charity’s annual Shoe Box Appeal sent more than 84,000 gift-filled boxes to eight countries in Eastern Europe.
