The world famous Red Arrows will fly over the west coast of Scotland this afternoon - and here is where and when you can see them.
The pilots are working on perfecting their moves ahead of a busy 2024 calendar and will be flying over Mid Argyll and Arran as part of Thursday’s schedule.
The full route is detailed below, showing the Arrows are expected over Lochgilphead at 3.52pm before shooting across to Blackwaterfoot on Arran five minutes later.
Those who manage to catch a glimpse will be treated to some of the most impressive aeroplane acrobatics on the planet as the pilots train for their summer displays.
The Red Arrows are the Royal Air Force’s aerobatic team and have preformed over 4,900 displays across the globe since first take off back in 1964. All pilots have previously flown on the frontlines with the RAF.
They have performed at a number of gala occasions include flying over London in 2002 to celebrate the then- Queen’s Golden Jubilee.
As well as their daring manoeuvres, they are also famous for the planes’ vibrant vapor trails, which are often used to ’paint pictures’ in the sky.
