A man was stopped and searched at 1pm by police officers on Sunday April 21 on Lochnell Street, Lochgilphead under the Misuse of Drugs Act powers.
It was alleged that the 29-year-old man tried to give false details after the search uncovered 58.6g of cannabis in his possession. The man was charged and was held to present before the next available court.
Police officers on patrol stopped and searched a car near Castleton, on the A83 south of Lochgilphead at 6pm on Saturday April 20. The occupants were also searched under the under Misuse of Drugs Act Powers. A 28-year-old man was given a police recorded warning after 4.5 g cannabis was found.
At 12.15am on Sunday April 21, on Campbell Street, Lochgilphead, foot patrol police officers had cause to stop and search a man under Misuse of Drugs Act powers. The 28-year-old male was given a recorded police warning after being found with 0.63g of cocaine.
Two windows were smashed in an act of vandalism at Tarbert Academy, Tarbert, sometime between 4pn on Friday April 12 and 8.50am on Monday April 15.
