Winds of over 57mph failed to deter loyal supporters from turning out for this year’s daffodil tea at Lochranza and Catacol Village Hall.
The annual fundraising event helped to raise over £1,000, which will be used by the hall committee to cover some of their regular running costs.
Well-rehearsed committee members simply moved the car boot stalls to the inside of the building and the event continued unimpeded while the storm raged outside.
Visitors who had braved the weather were treated to a huge array of home baking and tempting treats along with the cream teas, which were available as part of the entrance fee.
The car boot stalls included clothing, homeware, keepsakes, and a large amount of children’s toys. Adults and children took part in the tombola which included prizes for people of all ages.
Young visitors who joined their parents at the afternoon tea were suitably rewarded with handfuls of chocolate treats during the egg hunt which took place in the afternoon.
Following the very successful event, organisers packed up their tables and chairs and prepared the hall for another hugely successful event – a live performance from international artist, Rob Halligan.
