A stretch of the A83 is to be closed for safety works to be carried out.
The road will be shut overnight from 10pm on May 6 to 4am the following morning at Glen Kinglas (Butter Bridge) for the installation of new safety barriers.
The route will be closed in both directions although there will be amnesties where motorists will be escorted through the site at midnight and 2am. It is recommended that drivers arrive for these amnesties in good time to ensure access. A signed diversion route will be in place via the A82, A85 and A819.
Motorists are asked to plan their journey in advance, especially if they are travelling between Inveraray and Tarbet, and to expect delays of up to 35 minutes due to the diversion.
Ian Stewart, BEAR Scotland’s North West representative, said: “We understand that road closures can be frustrating for motorists, and we apologise for any inconvenience caused by these essential safety improvements.
"These new safety barriers will help to protect drivers and ensure the continued safe operation of the A83. We’ve scheduled the work overnight to minimise disruption, and we’ll be working hard to complete the project as quickly and safely as possible."
