Oban Hospice’s Dove Centre is throwing open its doors next month to show off what they do to the community.
The centre on Stevenson Street is inviting everyone to come along and enjoy a range of free activities across four days in March.
All of it is in an effort to spread the word on what services the centre offers.
Oban Hospice Dove Services are all about helping people to live their best lives, especially those going through a tough time.
Cancer patients and those with other life threatening illnesses can receive a range of counselling and therapies either at the centre or through the hospices Dove Outreach work.
The open days will spill all the details, with activities also on offer for children.
On Saturday March 7 from 12-6pm storyteller Rachel Gwilym will beguile children with interactive tales for all ages as parents get some well-earned pampering.
And on Thursday March 12 from 10am-1pm Play leader Ishbel Mackay will be on hand to entertain the wee ones.
Pampering sessions include head, neck and hand massages, as well as manicures. There will also be a healthy food demonstration, and refreshments on offer.
Wednesday March 11 from 6-9pm is an adults only day, with a music and pizza night at the same time on Friday March 13 for those wanting something a little different.
Everything on offer is completely free.
All of it is organised by hospice Finance and Development Manager Emma Grant.
She said: "I started to work for Oban Hospice Dove Services in November last year. Since then, my appreciation of the work of this charity has been deepening.
"I’ve come to realise that it has both loud and quiet work! Our drop-in sessions are the loud, obvious activities but what people may be less aware of is the quieter activities; the sitting with families when first diagnosed, the massage and talking therapy treatments we offer; the yoga and mindfulness sessions for holistic wellbeing.
"I love the fact that the Oban Hospice Dove Services are all about helping people to live their best lives.
"The Open Sessions are jam packed with fun activities geared towards children looking for entertainment; busy people looking for pampering; stressed people looking for time out. The sessions will be fun, free and for you!"
