Police are appealing for information after a shed and bins were deliberately set on fire behind properties on Mackenzie Street in Stornoway.
The incident happened around 6am on May 4.
The blaze was put out by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and no one was hurt.
Sergeant Shona Macdonald said: "Fortunately there were no injuries but this was an extremely irresponsible act and the fires are being treated as wilful.
"Our enquiries are ongoing to trace those responsible and anyone with information that could assist, including private CCTV, is asked to get in touch."
