A Kintyre cancer survivor has put her photography skills to good use to raise thousands of pounds for a local charity.
Campbeltown woman Kayleigh McLean, who runs Kay Mc Photography, has donated the £4,155 she raised by holding photoshoots throughout 2023 to the Mairi Semple Cancer Fund.
She handed over a cheque to fund committee members Fiona Macalister and Margaret Sinclair on Tuesday.
Kayleigh said: “I am so incredibly grateful to be able to do what I love whilst giving to others."
Fiona added: “It is such a fantastic amount of money and we are very grateful to Kayleigh.”
The Mairi Semple Cancer Fund provides financial support to Kintyre residents suffering from any type of cancer and typically gives out tens of thousands of pounds each year.
The cause is particularly close to Kayleigh’s heart as she has lost several family members - including her dad - to cancer and has battled thyroid cancer herself.
She also did a number of separate photoshoots during the year which raised around £1,000 for individual causes, including two local play groups.
Her work also helped Campbeltown and District Juvenile Football Association and an event for children with additional support needs.
She already has plans for future fundraisers for the Mairi Semple Cancer Fund.
