Kilmartin Museum will re-open its doors to visitors later this month following a period of closure over the winter.
A custodian of the artefacts that come from Kilmartin Glen, one of Scotland’s richest prehistoric landscapes, the museum houses a collection of nationally significant status which gives a fascinating insight into the lives of those who inhabited the area over the last 12,000 years.
The museum will be open from 10am-5pm on April 25, with last entry at 4pm, Wednesdays through to Sundays until the end of May, with opening times beyond then to be confirmed in due course.
The Kilmartin Museum team is delighted to have year-round food and drink on site at The Glen Bistro, run by local chef Sarah Litster.
The attraction was recently shortlisted for the prestigious Museums + Heritage Award in the Permanent Exhibition of the Year category. Winners will be announced at a ceremony in London on May 15.
