The annual Lochaber Model & Craft Show was held on Saturday, May 4, in the Nevis Centre in Fort William.
A vast array of models and crafts were on display, with exhibitors travelling from near and far to support the show.
Unfortunately the footfall was down on previous years, which may have been down to the mountain bike championships being held on the same weekend.
As with previous shows, all the profits will be donated to local charities and other worthy causes.
This year the profits are being divided between Lochaber Woman’s Aid and Lochaber Hope, which will both receive £500.
The Scottish Charity Air Ambulance will receive the remainder, which organisers will confirm once they receive outstanding invoices and possible sponsorships. They expect this final figure to be around £1,000.
Every year one of the sponsors is invited to judge the Best Display Award and this year James and Cath McLean from Caley Timber & Building Supplies kindly came along to assist.
The winner of the Alan Brander Memorial Trophy was Ian Brotherston, who travelled from Caithness with his brilliant collection of war scenes, each one depicting a story.
The sad loss of Alec Wood left an empty space in the loyal band of helpers, who are the ones that make it all happen.
Alec worked at the local Harbro store and Lochaber Model & Craft Show set up a memorial to him and also held a special raffle, with the £1,045 proceeds going to the RNLI, which was one of Alec’s chosen charities.
Organisers would like to thank all sponsors, exhibitors and crafters who gave their time and commitment to support the show, the Nevis Centre staff, and the local community for coming along on the day.
