Presents and flowers filled the floor and furniture around her chair at the head of a long, busy table, where 20 friends and family shared a colourful cake and tea.
At the other end, one of the secret team of organisers had sourced giant pink balloons spelling out her great age, while another party-goer helping to serve tea had dressed up in his kilt - all without the birthday girl discovering until the last minute.
Ann, born in Walthamstow, lived for many years in Kilmore with her late husband Geoff, and ran the Sue Ryder charity shop on Stevenson Street in Oban.
Her daughter Julie Dickie, enjoying the celebration with her husband Gary, said: "Every day she does gardening. She digs and weeds. She seems to have gotten younger since moving here."
Hopefully there was some cake left for her son Kevin, and grandchildren Connor and Heather Dickie.
