Pupils from 15 primary schools in Lochaber competed at the recent annual P6/7swimming gala.
Organised and run by Highlife Highland, the morning began with 25m heats in backstroke, breaststroke and front crawl, in which individuals raced to win points for their school in the small, medium or large schools categories.
The fastest six boys and girls in each event then swam in the finals which were held over a distance of 50m.
Once again, points were up for grabs to add to their school’s total. Individual finals over, the pupils also competed in relay events and once more the points were tallied.
A Highlife Highland spokesperson said: "A huge well done to all the swimmers and a massive thank you to the Lochaber Swim Team for all its help and support.
"Thanks also to the leisure centre staff at Lochaber Leisure, Active School team, parent volunteers and teachers, who all make this event possible."
