Residents planning to attend the Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) budget drop-in session in Campbeltown next week are asked to take note of a change to the location.
The event on Monday (February 16) was originally scheduled to be held at the Aqualibrium Leisure Centre. However, the HSCP has now moved the session to Campbeltown Town Hall.
While the location has changed, the timings remain the same, with staff available to meet the public between 10am and 12pm, and again from 1pm to 3pm.
An HSCP spokesperson said: “We would like to apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.”
The event is part of a wider public engagement process and will provide an opportunity to speak directly with officials about the £3.4 million in proposed savings as the Integrated Joint Board (IJB) looks to bridge a significant financial gap.
The plans currently being considered include new charges for day services and reductions to the telecare emergency responder service.
Evan Beswick, chief officer of Argyll and Bute HSCP, has stressed that these are “difficult decisions” and that community feedback is vital before the final board meeting on March 25.
Those who cannot make it to the town hall drop-in can still provide feedback online at nhsh.uk.engagementhq.com/hub-page/argyll-and-bute-hscp-budget-saving-review or via paper questionnaires available on request.
