A famous roadside stop has once again been awarded a national accreditation recognising its commitment to quality fish and chips.
The Real Food Cafe in Tyndrum was awarded a National Federation of Fish Friers (NFFF) Quality Accreditation, highlighting the business’s hygiene and food standards.
The award is valid for one year and must be renewed through continuous compliance with NFFF rules.
Owner Sarah Heward said the recognition was a tremendous honour.
She added: “This award is a credit to our hardworking staff, and I would like to offer my sincere thanks for their continued efforts in maintaining our excellent reputation.
“I would also like to thank all our customers, both new and longstanding, for their support and encouragement.”
NFFF-compliant businesses are allowed to display the award in their shopfronts to demonstrate their standards to customers.
The organisation’s president, Andrew Crook, said: “The Real Food Cafe clearly takes pride in sourcing its fish and potatoes responsibly.
“Achieving the NFFF Quality Accreditation provides reassurance to customers that they are being served expertly cooked food made with high-quality ingredients.”
The award is not the first time the 21-year-old cafe has been recognised.
In March, The Real Food Cafe was recognised at the National Fish and Chip Awards in the environmental and sustainability category.
Dubbed the ‘Oscars’ of the industry, the accolade is yet another for the cafe to add to its collection since opening in 2005.
