RNLI Tighnabruaich will be opening its doors once again for its annual May Day fund-raiser.
This is the chance for visitors to take a look around the inshore lifeboat, ask the volunteer crew about their work and help to raise some much-needed funds for the life saving charity service.
There will also be various stalls, burgers, coffee and cake as well as the station shop.
Everyone is welcome from 12pm to 3.30pm on Sunday May 3.
Nearby Tighnabruaich House will be taking part in the Open Gardens season with its refurbished Japanese garden.
RNLI data shows the high demand on lifeboat crews across the charity’s 238 lifeboat stations.
The charity’s lifeboats launched more than 9,000 times in 2025, making it the sixth-busiest year in the charity’s history.
RNLI lifeboat crews helped 8,290 people and saved 272 lives last year.
This response is only made possible by support and donations including events like the May Day fundraiser, to fund the charity’s work to save lives at sea.
