Arran High School lauded the next generation of sports stars at an end-of-term ceremony last Friday.
Prizes were presented to the winners of the school’s annual sports day on June 18, as well as the champions of the inter-house football and golf.
The school’s theatre was filled with pupils and staff to cheer the champs up to the front of the stage, to collect their shining medals and cups.
The PE & Active Schools Awards were officiated by PE teachers Barry Scott and Julie McGhee, and Active Schools Co-ordinator Ross Dobson.
Arran High School itself is a gold medallist in the School Sport Award from sportscotland, the national agency for sport.
Ross said: "We had to demonstrate when applying for this award how we celebrated success in our school - a perfect example!"
