Pupils from across the island spent some of their Easter holidays enjoying physical exercises, forming new friendships, and competitive fun at this year’s KA Leisure multi-sports and football camp.
Hosted by KA Leisure each year, the holiday camp attracted around 40 pupils, aged between five and 13-years-old, over four days at Arran High School’s games hall and on the astroturf outside.
Popular and supportive KA Leisure coaches coaches, Liam Stewart and Ross Lee, with the assistance of North Ayrshire Sports Academy student, Laura Coyle, ensured that the children received positive encouragement and support when taking part in activities and learning new games.
Among the many activities on offer were hockey, football, basketball, rounders, an obstacle course and a number of well-received challenges.

In addition to all of the fun activities children could also take part in daily theme days which included dressing as their idols, wearing clothes backwards, and crazy hair day on the final day.
Individual challenges were also given to the children who competitively tried to fill their multi-sport camp bingo cards. These challenges included, making a new friend, trying two new sports in one day, showing good sportsmanship, winning a race, good behaviour, and eating a healthy snack.
All of the activities and challenges are designed to foster a love for sport and to provide a fun environment where new friends can be made.
