Drivers are facing disruption as roadworks close a lane at the Rest and Be Thankful for seven days.
As part of construction works to realign the southern tie in of the Old Military Road at the Rest and Be Thankful, BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, are on site from today.
They plan to carry out utility protection works which will begin today and continue until April 24. In order to carry out these works. a lane closure with two-way temporary traffic lights will be in place.
Further to this, between the April 29 and May 10, resurfacing of the new section of the Old Military Road will result in a lane closure with two-way signals and a convoy operation in place at times.
A BEAR spokesperson said: "These works are necessary in order to complete the realignment and reduce the risk of flooding to the southern section of the road. We would like to take this opportunity to thank motorists for their patience."
