The A85 has fully reopened following a serious traffic accident near Dunbeg.
The accident occurred between the Dunbeg junction and the halfway house around 1pm.
Emergency services were called and the road was closed around 1.30pm. It reopened under restriction around 2.30pm and then fully at 3.05pm according to Traffic Scotland
Traffic Scotland had advised drivers to use an alternate route, with the back roads becoming congested as a result.
Two people were taken to Lorn and Islands Hospital in Oban following the accident according to the Scottish Ambulance Service.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1pm on Monday July 21 2025, we were called to a report of a crash involving two vehicles on the A85 near Dunbeg.
“Emergency services attended, and a woman was taken to hospital for assessment.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
A spokesperson from the Scottish Ambulance Service said: "We received a call at 13:13 to attend a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the A85, Dunbeg. We dispatched one ambulance to the scene, and transported two patients to Lorn and Islands Hospital, Oban.”
