Police in Oban and Lorn have seen traffic offences and incidents of fraud on the agenda this week.
Fraud
An Oban resident has been the victim of a Fraud on February 20.
After arranging the sale of an item online, the victim received a message purportedly from Pay Pal confirming payment, however the email was fake and the money was not paid. Police are investigating.
Road offences
A 28 year old female driver was cautioned and charged with various road traffic offences, following a road traffic collision that occurred at Ardconnel Road, Oban, on the afternoon of Sunday March 1. The circumstances will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
Drink Driving
A 21 year old male driver was arrested for failing the roadside breath test on the A816 at Kilmelford on the afternoon of Sunday March 1. The circumstances will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
Fraud
On Wednesday February 25, police were contacted by an Argyll resident and made aware that several car insurance policies had been taken out in their name, and direct debits sent up for their bank account. Police are investigating.
