Oban’s branch of The Original Factory Shop has begun its closing down sale as the retailer continues down the administration process.
The Combie Street branch of the store is advertising what could be its final ever sale, but its fate is not yet sealed.
No exact date has been given for its final closure, but their remains the possibility of a buyout of the company which could see the store saved at the eleventh hour.
In a social media post, the branch said that while there is "a small glimmer of hope" that they could be saved, they are "preparing for the worst".
The closing down sale has seen prices on "almost everything" slashed by at least 30 per cent, with some items reduced as much as 75 per cent.
Staff said in the statement: "There is a wonderful team here that are still proudly doing their jobs with a smile, so please be kind, but why not support your local branch and grab a bargain or two along the way!"
While the future is not yet set in stone, for now the message is clear: all stock must go.
The update follows the announcement last month that TOFS had entered administration, putting more than 1,200 jobs at risk across 140 stores nationwide.
Brand owners Modella Capital put TOFS into insolvency alongside fellow discount retailer Claire’s in January, citing low footfall over the Christmas period and rising operating costs as the reasons for its decision.
In the mean time, regular deals and promotions at the store are continuing, and business will operate as usual until an update is issued.
TOFS has been contacted for comment on the local store’s future.
