The two people who died following a crash near Fort William have been named as David Allan Mackay, aged 44, and Kai Mathieson, aged 16, from the Corpach area.
Police were alerted to the incident at around 3am on Saturday, February 21 when they received a report of a vehicle fire on the A830 at Corpach.
Emergency services attended and the fire was extinguished. Following further enquiry, it was established that the car, a blue Vauxhall Astra, was involved in a single-vehicle crash around 1.45am.
Enquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances of the incident.
Sergeant Calum MacAulay said: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the people who died in this crash.
"We ask that their privacy is respected at this time.
"I would again appeal to anyone who was driving on the A830 in the early hours of February 21, and hasn’t already spoke to police, to please come forward.
"If you witnessed anything which may help or have relevant dash-cam footage around the time, we ask that you contact us as soon as possible."
