The former Campbeltown Police Station is set to go under the hammer at a live-streamed commercial property auction next week.
The two-storey 7,360 square foot property at Castlehill, which is expected to attract attention as a potential development site, has a guide price of £45,000.
The ground floor includes office accommodation, four holding cells, W/C facilities and a kitchen preparation area, with a further row of cells and more office space on the first floor.
The building, constructed of traditional stone with a pitched and slated roof, has an additional extension to the rear, as well as a large car park and a garage formerly used for police vehicle maintenance.
Vehicular access can be granted via Castlehill as well as numerous pedestrian entrances located at different points around the premises.
According to the selling agent, Shepherd Chartered Surveyors, the property is considered suitable for residential conversion, subject to obtaining the necessary planning permission.
Calvin Molinari, surveyor at Shepherd, said: “Within proximity to public transport links and with suitability for residential conversion, subject to planning permission, we anticipate much interest in this auction lot.”
The online auction will be held on Thursday October 30 at 2.30pm.
