Police are appealing for information following a fatal crash near Fort William during the early hours of Saturday morning (February 21).
Emergency services attended the scene after receiving a report of a vehicle fire on the A830 at Corpach at around 3am.
The fire was extinguished and the bodies of two people were discovered within. Formal identification has yet to take place, however the families of two males, aged 16 and 44, have been informed.
Following further enquiry, it is believed the single vehicle collision, involving a blue Vauxhall Astra, happened around 1.45am.
The road was closed to allow for crash investigation to be carried out and fully reopened around 7pm on Sunday, February 22. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
Sergeant Calum MacAulay said: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the people who died in this crash.
"It’s vital we establish exactly what happened and I’m appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
"If you were on the A830 in the early hours of Saturday morning and saw anything which may help, please come forward.
"I would also appeal to drivers with dash-cam footage of the area around the time to review this for anything significant."
