The RNLI lifeboat station in Kyle of Lochalsh welcomed a special guest on Friday as Santa stopped by the charity’s Christmas fundraising afternoon.
Having arrived by lifeboat, Santa swiftly set himself up in the station’s festive grotto and met a steady queue of children.
The event also featured an opportunity to send Christmas letters to Santa’s home at the North Pole, as well as a chance to purchase reindeer food in preparation for Santa’s sleigh-bound return on Christmas Eve.
Adults in attendance found mulled wine and cider available as a means to stay warm, while the RNLI lifeboat shop was open throughout the event for those in need of some yuletide shopping.
Whilst previous visits had seen Santa arrive at the Kyle RNLI station on early Saturday afternoons, his Friday appearance started early this time, allowing the station’s crew and volunteers to make use of the darkness with a full display of Christmas lights.
Celebrating the day and its VIP visitor, a Kyle RNLI spokesperson said: "We would like to thank everyone who helped make it such a success, especially with this year’s new format.
"We would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported us throughout the year, and we hope everyone has a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year."
