Organiser Andrew Moss said: “As a club we are passionate about making our sport accessible to the wider community so we have chosen to host a sprint distance event.
“We have encouraged our members to sign up to the event but also hope it provides a chance for people in Lochaber and the wider area to give triathlon a go and perhaps join their local club as a result."
Entries are now open and will close a week before the event, with the number of entries being limited to 75 for the first event.
All entrants will receive a memento of the day and prizes, kindly provided by local clubs and organisations, will be on offer.
The event is only open to those aged 18 and over.
Andrew added: “A similar triathlon was held in Fort William in the past. It is great that as a relatively new club we are bringing a sprint triathlon event back to the area.
“It’s been great to see how positive people have been about us putting on the event and we have guidance and support from other event organisers, including Inverness Triathlon Club, which hosts the Nairn Triathlon in June, and Lochaber Athletic Club which hosts running events throughout the year.
“We are grateful for this support and thank all the organisations which enable these events to happen.”
