Bun-sgoil Ghàidhlig Phort Rìgh and Rockfield Primary School from Oban were the big winners at the Ferguson Transport & Shipping National Indoor Shinty Festivals which took place across two venues in Fort William on Friday February 27.

In the primary 4/5 event at Lochaber High School, Bun-sgoil Ghàidhlig Phort Rìgh (BSGP) and Park Primary School (Oban) won through to the final with BSGP winning 2-1.

In the primary 6/7 competition at the Nevis Centre, Rockfield took on the older Bun- sgoil Ghàidhlig Phort Rìgh side in the final after beating a strong Tighnabruaich team 5-2 in their semi.
Rockfield led BSGP in the final through captain Arthur Handley, but Lila Schuman equalised before the break.
A second half hat-trick from Rockfield’s Ollie Duffy gave the Oban side a 4-1 win.
