The community in Lochgair carried out their annual beach clean and came away with 30-plus bags of rubbish and a wrecked small boat.
The 40 or so people taking part had a fine spring day to carry out the sweep around the area’s shores before tucking into a community barbecue.
The beach clean has taken place every year for the last 20, and there appears to be no lesser a need for it than when it first started.
A spokesperson said: "Tthe community feels that the annual event helps to keep some of the marine littering in the area under control and it also brings everyone together."
