Police in Oban and Lorn had to tackle multiple driving offences and a housebreaking this week.
Housebreaking
Between 9am on Wednesday March 18 and 9am on Wednesday March 25 there has been an attempt Housebreaking at a property in Ardlarach Road, Ardfern.

Attempted fraud
On the afternoon of Thursday April 9 an Argyll resident has been the victim of an attempted fraud, whereby they received a call from someone purporting to be from Amazon advising there had been fraudulent transactions on their amazon account, which victim confirmed.
The Fraudster attempted to get the victim to sign up for Western Credit Union to verify their card details. Police are investigating.
Driving under the influence
On Saturday April 11 a 51 year old male driver was arrested for failing the roadside drug wipe at Shore Street, Oban.
The male was conveyed to Oban Police Station where blood samples were taken for toxicological analysis. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal once results are analysed.
Driving offences
On the evening of Friday April 10, a 40 year old male driver was arrested and charged with failing to stop for Police, failing to provide details of driver, failing to provide specimen of breath and failing to provide a preliminary test, after he was stopped by Police on Hill Street, Oban.
The male was released on Undertaking to appear at Oban Sheriff Court at a later date.
Drink driving
A 54 year old male was arrested for drink driving in Croft Road, Oban on the evening of Saturday April 11. The male was released on Undertaking to appear at Oban Sheriff Court at a later date.
