BEAR has come up with a revised programme for works on Connel Bridge.
The roadworks agency said the hope was that the amended programme will help anyone’s concern and apologised for any inconvenience that might still be caused.
Works will now start on May 18 and run for six days, closing the bridge road between 10pm each night until 6am.
Amnesties will be provided at 12am, 2am and 4am to reduce disruption to road users.
"We have taken on board the feedback received along with consideration of predicted traffic flows and transport timetables, we have developed a revised programme," said a BEAR spokesperson.
Due to the nature of the works and width restrictions in this location, some disruption during the working periods will be "unfortunately unavoidable" added the spokesperson saying careful plans had been made to minimise impact.
"We hope road users will benefit from the updated programme," they said.
Emergency service access will be maintained at all times, and we are in consultation with these services regarding this.
