A crowd of about 80 people took part in a sponsored walk in the sunshine along Dunbeg cycle path to Ganavan beach on Sunday to help find a cure for MND.
The Boomtown Walk event was part of a fundraiser for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.
A £2,000 target was doubled by Monday lunchtime and continues to grow.

Organisers wanted the walk to raise awareness as well as money to help support research into Motor Neurone Disease and to support families, friends and carers living with it.
