Two Inveraray sisters made their mark at one of Argyll’s biggest music and dance events.
Lucy, aged 8 and Lily Clark, 7, have been spreading their wings across the country after getting a taste for competing in music, poetry, singing and Highland dancing at last year’s Royal National Mod in Fort William.
The pair took part in Mid Argyll Music Festival earlier this year and were at the Highlands and Islands Music and Dance Festival in Oban at the weekend, taking part in the solo piano and duet piano performance class.
Lucy, who in February was awarded the most improved snare drummer player at the Mid Argyll Pipe Band awards, won the Oban Music Trophy for the Under 15 Years Stick and Pad competition. She is taught by lead drummer Martha McSporran Moir at Mid Argyll Pipe Band.
Not to be outdone, Lily won the HIMDF Cup presented by The Rotary Club of Oban as she was the youngest music solo competitor and performed so well.
Proud mum Ammie Clark told the Advertiser: “Both girls thrive in the music and dance world and love travelling all across Scotland for Highland dancing and musical performances and competitions.”
Both girls are taught piano by Laura Stone and attend the Margaret Rose School of Dance in Helensburgh.
