Burns Night was marked across the Oban area with suppers and entertainment.
Youngsters at Oban’s 1st Steps Day Nursery were treated to a Highland dancing display when Strath of Appin Primary pupils Poppy Black and Sophia Osbourne visited on Monday.
The children also tucked into haggis for lunch, served up with the help of a piper who marched it in.

Oban Burns Club and residents from the Portsonachan area organised their own gatherings, as did the Atlantic Islands Centre on Luing and other community halls throughout Argyll where the haggis was addressed with all the traditional formality.
