Caol’s Christmas celebration has been hailed as a huge success.
Santa travelled around several areas in an open truck escorted by a fire engine, before setting up his grotto in Caol Community Centre alongside entertainment by Highland and hip hop dance troupes.
The Caol residents’ group work hard to deliver these events and tries to raise money to get more decorations to make Caol brighter at Christmas, bringing festive cheer to all.
They are hoping to raise £6,000 before next year’s repeat to get another six lamp motifs, and also cover the cost of paying The Highland Council for the lights to be put up.

Organisers have passed on a big thank you to the tree sponsors, volunteers, Santa, elves, snowmen, and to everyone who attended the Christmas event in Camaghael Road.
The tree was sponsored by May Macleod in memory of her late husband Innaz, who loved looking out at it during the festive season.

Santa and his helpers made a special journey to help her switch on the lights.
