Four out of seven potential candidates have so far confirmed their participation at a hustings due to take place on Friday April 24, at Lochgilphead Joint Campus.
The Argyll and Bute candidates for the Scottish Parliament election have been invited to the event by host Lochgilphead Community Council.
Scottish Labour’s Dr Callum George; Jenni Minto, SNP; Alan Reid, Liberal Democrats and Mike Rice, Independent, had all accepted the invitation at the time of this post.
Those still to confirm were Amanda Hampsey, Reform UK; Tommy Macpherson, Independent and Peter Wallace, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
Members of the public are invited to attend the event which starts at 7pm to put questions to the candidates.
The Scottish Parliament election will take place on Thursday May 7. Polling stations open at 7am and close at 10pm.
The count will start, for the first time, the day after the election not when the polls close and will take place at Lochgilphead Joint Campus.
