Chief Inspector Lee Page said: “The refurbishment of Oban police station will make the front counter and a public area of the station more comfortable, modern and accessible, providing a better experience for everyone who visits or works in the station.
"The work includes the installation of new carpets, improved lighting, modern furniture, a new electric door and fresh interior painting.
“This refurbishment is being carried out as an interim improvement while we continue to work on a long-term solution. Oban remains a priority within our Estates Masterplan and we are committed to ensuring that we continue to deliver sustainable, modern policing services.
“Officers will continue to be on patrol in Oban and we would encourage anyone to approach them with any issues.”
